Created by Dr. Keith E. Webb, the COACH Model Card is an easy-to-use five step guide to a coaching conversation. Each COACH Model Card folds in half to the size of a business card.
The COACH Model Card outlines the progression of a coaching conversation and includes helpful questions to move a coachee forward. Newly revised, you can choose from multiple questions for each step. Here’s a sample:
- Connect: How have you been?
- Outcome: What results would you like to take away from our conversation?
- Awareness: What factors are influencing the situation?
- Course: What options do you have?
- Highlights: What was particularly helpful?
